Ideal Work Place

These photos above are examples of my ideal work place. These are photos of nice, modern hair salons with a good atmosphere. There's the front desk, the hair washing station, and the stylists stations, along with an assortment of hair products on the shelves. There's a lot of mirrors that make the salon look more fun and modern. In the second photo, the salon looks like it lets a lot a light in through the windows creating a good vibe. Although they appear to be simple, these salons look like they are clean environments.
These photos make me excited that I will be standing in a salon like that one day. I would love to work in a clean, bright, fun salon, and that's the vibes I get from the salons above. Looking at them, I think about how I will finally get to do hair like I've always wanted to. It would feel great to be able to call one of those hair stations my own, and these photos remind me that I have to work hard to earn that position. They also remind me that I need to do good in school and get all of my credits at PCCC so I can then go to beauty school and pursue my hair career.

My Work Place

This is a picture of a register at ShopRite. This is where I spend my shifts at work. It's a small two foot by two foot cubicle, which you can't really move from during your shift. That roll of orange stickers are the stickers you have to make sure you put on every item that isn't bagged. The white plastic basket is where the customers coupons are kept after they're used. There's belts that move the food along, and a scanner that rings up all of the food.
Looking at this picture, it makes me feel a little angry, considering I strongly dislike my job. Standing in that little space for hours at a time without being able to move drives me crazy, and this picture just reminds me of that. This picture reminds me of all the rude customers I get, who make me dislike my job even more. On a brighter note, this picture shows that I work for my money, even though it may be a pretty easy job, it's also annoying, but something I must deal with in order to earn a paycheck at the end of the week. I just have to keep telling myself that I won't be there forever.
